We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms.

We put it into Moses's mind by inspiration: "Throw (now) thy rod":and behold! it swallows up straight away all the falsehoods which they fake!

We divided them into twelve tribes or nations. We directed Moses by inspiration, when his (thirsty) people asked him for water: "Strike the rock with thy staff": out of it there gushed forth twelve springs: Each group knew its own place for water. We gave them the shade of clouds, and sent down to them manna and quails, (saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for you": (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls.

We inspired Moses and his brother with this Message: "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, make your dwellings into places of worship, and establish regular prayers: and give glad tidings to those who believe!"

So they did take him away, and they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well: and We put into his heart (this Message): 'Of a surety thou shalt (one day) tell them the truth of this their affair while they know (thee) not'

And We made them leaders, guiding (men) by Our Command, and We sent them inspiration to do good deeds, to establish regular prayers, and to practise regular charity; and they constantly served Us (and Us only).

By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued."

So We sent this inspiration to the mother of Moses: "Suckle (thy child), but when thou hast fears about him, cast him into the river, but fear not nor grieve: for We shall restore him to thee, and We shall make him one of Our messengers."

我确已启示你，犹如我启示努哈和在他之后的众先知一样，也犹如我启示易卜拉欣、易司马仪、易司哈格、叶尔孤白各支派，以及尔撒、安优卜、优努司、哈伦、素莱曼一样。我以《宰逋卜》赏赐达五德。

我启示穆萨说：“你抛出你的手杖吧。”于是，那条手杖立刻消灭了他们所幻化的（大蛇）。

我把他们分为十二支派，即部落。当穆萨的宗族向他求水的时候，我启示他说：“你用你的手杖打那磐石吧。”十二股泉水就从那磐石里涌出来，各部落都知道自己的饮水处。我以白云荫蔽他们，又降下甘露和鹌鹑给他们。（我对他们说）：”你们可以吃我所供给你们的佳美的食物。”他们没有亏负我，但他们自亏了。

我曾启示穆萨和他哥哥说：“你们俩当为自己的宗族而在埃及建造些房屋，你们应当以自己的房屋为礼拜的地方，你们应当谨守拜功，你应当向信士们报喜。”

当他们把他带走，并且一致决定把他投入井底的时候，我启示他说：“将来你必定要把他们这件事，在他们不知不觉的时候，告诉他们。”

我以他们为世人的师表，他们奉我的命令而引导众人。 我启示他们：应当力行善事，谨守拜功，完纳天课。他们是只崇拜我的。

我曾启示穆萨（说）：”你在夜间率领我的众仆而旅行，你们确是被追赶的。”

我曾启示穆萨的母亲（说）：”你应当哺乳他，当你怕他受害的时候，你把他投在河里，你不要畏惧，不要忧愁，我必定要把他送还你，我必定要任命他为使者。”
