They said,
`Our Lord!
Indeed, we
fear
that
he will hasten
against us
or
that
he will transgress.`
(The) Day
We will fold
the heaven
like (the) folding
(of) a scroll
for records.
As
We began
(the) first
creation
We will repeat it,
a promise
upon Us.
Indeed, We-
We are
(the) Doers.
They (will) say,
`Our Lord!
Overcome
[on] us
our wretchedness,
and we were
a people
astray.
And said
those who
(do) not
expect
(the) meeting with Us,
`Why not
are sent down
to us
the Angels
or
we see
our Lord?`
Indeed,
they have become arrogant
within
themselves
and (become) insolent
(with) insolence
great.
They said,
`(It is) same
to us
whether you advise
or
not
you are
of
the advisors.
Then cause to fall
upon us
fragments
of
the sky,
if
you
(are) of
the truthful.`
And began,
those who
(had) wished
his position
the day before
(to) say,
'Ah! That
Allah
extends
the provision
for whom
He wills
of
His slaves,
and restricts it.
If not
that
Allah had favored
[to] us
He would have caused it to swallow us
Ah! That
not
will succeed
the disbelievers.
And verily,
We sent
before you
Messengers
to
their people,
and they came to them
with clear proofs;
then We took retributin
from
those who
committed crimes.
And it was
incumbent
upon Us
(to) help
the believers.
And not
(is) on us
except
the conveyance
clear.'
So has been proved true
against us
(the) Word
(of) our Lord;
indeed, we
(will) certainly taste.
And they will say
to their skins,
'Why do
you testify
against us?'
They will say,
'Allah made us speak,
the One Who
makes speak
every
thing;
and He
created you
(the) first
time,
and to Him
you will be returned.
Indeed,
those who
distort
[in]
Our Verses
(are) not
hidden
from Us.
So, is (he) who
is cast
in
the Fire
better
or
(he) who
comes
secure
(on the) Day
(of) resurrection?
Do
what
you will.
Indeed, He
of what
you do
(is) All-Seer.
And they will call,
'O Malik!
Let put an end
to us
your Lord.'
He (will) say,
'Indeed, you
(will) remain.'
(The) Day
will split
the earth
from them,
hurrying.
That
(is) a gathering
for Us
easy.
But Allah conferred favor
upon us,
and protected us
(from the) punishment
(of) the Scorching Fire.
Or
(do) you have
oaths
from us,
reaching
to
(the) Day
(of) the Resurrection.
That,
for you
(is) what
you judge?
And if
he (had) fabricated
against Us
some
sayings,
Indeed,
upon Us
(is) its collection
and its recitation.
Then
indeed,
upon Us
(is) its explanation.
Then
indeed,
upon Us
(is) their account.
Indeed,
upon Us
(is) the guidance.
They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds."
The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),- even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it.
They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray!
Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!
They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers!
"Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!"
And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: "Ah! it is indeed Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of His servants He pleases! had it not been that Allah was gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up! Ah! those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper."
We did indeed send, before thee, messengers to their (respective) peoples, and they came to them with Clear Signs: then, to those who transgressed, We meted out Retribution: and it was due from Us to aid those who believed.
"And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message."
"So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).
They will say to their skins: "Why bear ye witness against us?" They will say: "Allah hath given us speech,- (He) Who giveth speech to everything: He created you for the first time, and unto Him were ye to return.
Those who pervert the Truth in Our Signs are not hidden from Us. Which is better?- he that is cast into the Fire, or he that comes safe through, on the Day of Judgment? Do what ye will: verily He seeth (clearly) all that ye do.
They will cry: "O Malik! would that thy Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Nay, but ye shall abide!"
The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us.
"But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.
Or have ye Covenants with Us to oath, reaching to the Day of Judgment, (providing) that ye shall have whatever ye shall demand?
And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name,
It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it:
Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear):
Then it will be for Us to call them to account.
Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide,
他俩说：“我们的主啊！我们的确怕他粗暴地伤害我们，或更加暴虐无道。”
在那日，我将天卷起犹如卷轴将书画卷起一样。起初我怎样创造万物， 我要怎样使万物还原。这是我自愿应许的，我必实行它。
他们说：“我们的主啊！我们的薄命，曾制服我们，而我们变成迷误者。
不希望与我相会者曾说：“怎么不使众天神降临我们，或者得见我们的主呢？”他们确已妄自尊大，确已大逆不道。
他们说：“无论你劝告与否，这对于我们是一样的。
你使天一块块地落在我们的头上吧，如果你是诚实的。”
昨天羡慕戈伦的境遇的人说：“你不见吗？真主要使哪个仆人的给养宽裕，就使他宽裕；（要使哪个仆人的给养窘迫），就使他窘迫。假若没有真主对我们的恩典，他必使我们沦陷在地面下。你不知道吗？孤恩的人，是不会成功的。”
在你之前，我确已派遣了许多使者，去教化他们的宗族，那些使者就昭示他们许多明证，然后，我惩治犯罪的人。援助信士，原是我的责任。
我们只负明白的传达的责任。”
故我们应当受我们的主的判决，我们确是尝试的。
他们将对自己的皮肤说：“你们为什么作不利于我们的见证呢？”它们将说：“能使万物说话的真主，已使我们说话了。他初次创造你们，你们只被召归于他。”
曲解我的迹象者，必不能隐匿起来，不让我看见他们。是在复活日被投入火狱者好呢？还是在复活日安全者好呢？你们要做什么，就随便做什么吧！他确是明察你们的行为的。
他们将喊叫说：“马立克啊！请你的主处决我们吧！”他说：“你们必定要留在刑罚中。”
在大地破裂而他们迅速走出坟墓之日，那集合的事对于我是容易的。
但真主已施恩于我们，并使我们得免于毒风的刑罚。
难道我曾与你们缔结过复活日才满期的、坚定的盟约，因而你们确有你们所判断的？
假若他假借我的名义，捏造谣言，
集合它和诵读它，确是我的责任。
然后解释它，也是我的责任。
他们的稽核，必定由我负责。
我确有指导的责任，
