(will) surely be guided.'
(Namely), those who say: "Our Lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire;"-
"Our Lord! we have heard the call of one calling (Us) to Faith, 'Believe ye in the Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Thyself our souls in the company of the righteous.
They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds."
They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)"
And they said, "O thou sorcerer! Invoke thy Lord for us according to His covenant with thee; for we shall truly accept guidance."
他们说:“我们的主啊!我们确已信道了,求你赦宥我们的罪过,求你使我们得免于火狱的刑罚。”
我们的主啊!我们确已听见了一个召唤的人,召人于正信,(他说):'你们当确信你们的主。'我们就确信了。我们的主啊!求你赦宥我们的罪恶,求你消除我们的过失,求你使我们与义人们死在一处。
他俩说:“我们的主啊!我们的确怕他粗暴地伤害我们,或更加暴虐无道。”
他们说:“我们的心在蒙蔽中,不能了解你对我们的教导,我们的耳朵有重听;在我们和你之间有一道屏障。你干你的吧,我们必定要干我们的!”
他们曾说:“术士啊!请你为我们祈祷你的主,因为他曾与你订约的缘故,我们必定要遵循正道。”
