And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer): "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing.

In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.

Their prayer at the House (of Allah) is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands: (Its only answer can be), "Taste ye the penalty because ye blasphemed."

They said: "Dost thou wonder at Allah's decree? The grace of Allah and His blessings on you, o ye people of the house! for He is indeed worthy of all praise, full of all glory!"

Behold! We gave the site, to Abraham, of the (Sacred) House, (saying): "Associate not anything (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or stand up, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

In them ye have benefits for a term appointed: in the end their place of sacrifice is near the Ancient House.

And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

Let them adore the Lord of this House,

当时，易卜拉欣和易司马仪树起天房的基础，他们俩祈祷说：“我们的主啊！求你接受我们的敬意，你确是全聪的，确是全知的。

其中有许多明证，如易卜拉欣的立足地；凡入其中的人都得安宁。凡能旅行到天房的，人人都有为真主而朝觐天房的义务。不信道的人（无损于真主），因为真主确是无求于全世界的。

他们在禁寺附近的礼拜，只是打呼哨和拍掌。（不信道的人啊！）你们为不信道而尝试刑罚吧。

他们说：“难道你对真主的命令感到惊讶吗？愿真主的怜悯和幸福降临你们全家，他确是可赞的，确是光荣的。”

当时我曾为易卜拉欣指定天房的地址，我说：“你不要以任何物配我，你应当为环行者、立正者、鞠躬者和叩头者，打扫我的房屋。

牲畜对于你们，有若干利益，至于一个定期， 然后（屠宰它们作供献）的合法地方应该是古房的附近。

你们应当安居于你们的家中，你们不要炫露你们的美丽，如从前蒙昧时代的妇女那样。你们应当谨守拜功，完纳天课，顺从真主及其使者。先知的家属啊！真主只欲消除你们的污秽，洗净你们的罪恶。

故教他们崇敬这天房的主,
