Thenceforth were your hearts hardened: They became like a rock and even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.

Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts; and He is Oft-forgiving, Most Forbearing.

Allah made it but a message of hope for you, and an assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah. The Exalted, the Wise:

Call them by (the names of) their fathers: that is juster in the sight of Allah. But if ye know not their father's (names, call them) your Brothers in faith, or your maulas. But there is no blame on you if ye make a mistake therein: (what counts is) the intention of your hearts: and Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.

此後，你们的心变硬了，变得像石头一样，或比石头还硬。有些石头，河水从其中涌出；有些石头，自己破裂，而水泉从其中流出；有些石头为惧怕真主而坠落。真主绝不忽视你们的行为。

真主不为无意的誓言而责备你们，但为有意的誓言而责备你们。真主是至赦的，是至容的。

真主只以这应许对你们报喜，以便你们的心境因此而安定。援助只是从万能的、至睿的真主那里降下的。

你们应当以他们的父亲的姓氏称呼他们，在真主看来，这是更公平的。如果你们不知道他们的父亲是谁，那末，他们是你们的教胞和亲友。你们所误犯的事，对于你们没有罪过，你们所故犯的事，就不然了。真主是至赦的，是至慈的。
