And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not.

Allah has prepared for them a severe Penalty: evil indeed are their deeds.

How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His messengers, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary Punishment.

Allah has prepared for them a severe Punishment (in the Hereafter). Therefore fear Allah, O ye men of understanding - who have believed!- for Allah hath indeed sent down to you a Message,-

"That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty.

He will admit to His Mercy whom He will; But the wrong-doers,- for them has He prepared a grievous Penalty.

"So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment."

Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!"

不义的人们，在那日之前，必定要受一种刑罚，但他们大半不知道。

真主已为他们准备严厉的刑罚。他们的行为真恶劣。

有许多城市的居民，曾违抗他们的主和众使者的命令，我将严格地审训他们，严厉的惩罚他们。

真主已为他们预备了严厉的刑罚。信道的有理智的人们啊！你们当敬畏真主。真主确已降示你们一种教训，

以便我以雨水考验他们。谁退避主的教训，他将使谁入在严峻的刑罚中。

他使他所意欲的人，入在他的慈恩中。至於不义的人们，他已为他们预备了痛苦的刑罚。

（将对他们说：）“你们尝试吧！我只增加你们所受的刑罚。”

我的确警告你们一种临近的刑罚，在那日，各人将要看见自己所已做的工作，不信道的人们将要说：“啊！但愿我原是尘土。”
