"Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed, and we follow the Messenger; then write us down among those who bear witness."

Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses.

They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle."

He said, "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (Truth).

Thou wast not on the Western side when We decreed the Commission to Moses, nor wast thou a witness (of those events).

我们的主啊！我们已确信你所降示的经典，我们已顺从使者，求你使我们加入作证者的行列。”

当时，真主与众先知缔约说：“我已赏赐你们经典和智慧，以后有一个使者来证实你们所有的经典，你们必须确信他，必须辅助他。”他说：“你们承认吗？你们愿意为此事而与我缔约吗?”他们说：“我们承认了。”他说：“那末，你们作证吧；我也和你们一同作证。

当他们听见诵读降示使者的经典的时候，你看他们为自己所认识的真理而眼泪汪汪，他们说：“我们的主啊!我们已信道了，求你把我们同作证真理的人记录在一处。

他们说：“我们想吃筵席，而内心安静，并且知道你对我们说的，确是实话，而我们将为你的使命作见证。”

他说：“不然，你们的主，是天地的主，是天地的创造者， 我对于此事是一个证人。

当我以我的命令启示穆萨的时候，你没有在西山边，也没有亲眼看见。
