Miserable is the price for which they have sold their souls, in that they deny (the revelation) which Allah has sent down, in insolent envy that Allah of His Grace should send it to any of His servants He pleases: Thus have they drawn on themselves Wrath upon Wrath. And humiliating is the punishment of those who reject Faith.

O ye of Faith! Say not (to the Messenger) words of ambiguous import, but words of respect; and hearken (to him): To those without Faith is a grievous punishment.

Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah.

And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they touch each other. But if any is unable to do so, he should feed sixty indigent ones, this, that ye may show your faith in Allah and His Messenger. Those are limits (set by) Allah. For those who reject (Him), there is a grievous Penalty.

Those who resist Allah and His Messenger will be humbled to dust, as were those before them: for We have already sent down Clear Signs. And the Unbelievers (will have) a humiliating Penalty,-

他们因真主把他的恩惠降给他所意欲的仆人，故他们心怀嫉妒，因而不信真主所降示的经典；他们为此而出卖自己，他们所得的代价真恶劣。故他们应受加倍的谴怒。不信道者，将受凌辱的刑罚。

信道的人们啊！你们不要（对使者）说：“拉仪那”，你们应当说：“温助尔那”，你们应当听从。不信道者，将受痛苦的刑罚。

难道他们没有在大地上旅行，以观察前人的结局是怎样的吗？真主又毁灭了他们。不信道的人们，将有同样的结局。

没有奴隶者，在交接之前，应该连续斋戒两月。不能斋戒者，应该供给六十个贫民一日的口粮。这因为要你们表示信仰真主和使者。这些是真主的法度。不信的人们，将受痛苦的刑罚。

违抗真主和使者的人，必遭折磨，犹如他们以前的人曾遭折磨一样。我确已降示许多明证，不信者，将受凌辱的刑罚。
