surely (it) would have been
they (would) not have done it,
so that they may ruin them
and that they make confusing
they (would) not have done so.
If We had ordered them to sacrifice their lives or to leave their homes, very few of them would have done it: But if they had done what they were (actually) told, it would have been best for them, and would have gone farthest to strengthen their (faith);
Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.
Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception. If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions alone.
Even so, in the eyes of most of the pagans, their "partners" made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If Allah had willed, they would not have done so: But leave alone them and their inventions.
All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds):
假若我命令他们说:“你们自杀或离乡吧!”他们除少数人外,都不遵命。假若他们遵行自己所受的劝戒,这对于他们必定是裨益更多的,使他们的信仰更加坚定的。
他们对于自己所作的恶事,不互相劝戒;他们的行为,真恶劣。
我这样以人类和精灵中的恶魔为-个先知的仇敌,他们为了欺骗而以花言巧语互相讽示--假若你的主意欲,那么,他们不做这件事,故你应当任他们伪造谎言--
以物配主者的配主,这样诱惑他们中的许多人杀害自己的儿女,以便毁灭他们,并混乱他们的宗教。假若真主意欲,那末,他们就不做这件事,故你当任他们伪造谎言。
凡他们所做的事,都记载在天经中。
