And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs,

This, because they said to those who hate what Allah has revealed, "We will obey you in part of (this) matter"; but Allah knows their (inner) secrets.

When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."

你当依真主所降示的经典而替他们判决，你不要顺从他们的私欲，你当谨防他们引诱你违背真主所降示你的一部分经典。如果他们违背正道，那末，你须知真主欲因他们的一部分罪过，而惩罚他们。有许多人，确是犯罪的。

假若我把它降示一个非阿拉伯人，

那是因为他们曾对那些厌恶真主所降示的迹象者说：“对于一部分的事情，我们将顺从你们。”真主知道他们的隐情。

当时，先知把一句话秘密地告欣他的一个妻子，她即转告了别人，而真主使先知知道他的秘密已被泄漏的时候，他使她认识一部分，而隐匿一部分。当他既以泄漏告诉她的时候，她说：“谁报告你这件事的？”他说：“是全知的、彻知的主告诉我的。”
