This is the way of thy Lord, leading straight: We have detailed the signs for those who receive admonition.

O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition!

We punished the people of Pharaoh with years (of droughts) and shortness of crops; that they might receive admonition.

If ye gain the mastery over them in war, disperse, with them, those who follow them, that they may remember.

See they not that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet they turn not in repentance, and they take no heed.

And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude).

这是你的主的正路。我确已为觉悟的民众而解释一切迹象。

阿丹的子孙啊！我确已为你们而创造遮盖阴部的衣服和修饰的衣服，敬畏的衣服尤为优美。这是属于真主的迹象，以便他们觉悟。

我确已用荒年和歉收去惩治法老的臣民，以便他们觉悟。

如果你在战争中遇见他们，你就应当以（惩治）他们而驱散在他们后面的人，以便他们觉悟。

难道他们不知道吗？他们每年受一两次考验，但总是不改悔，也不觉悟。

（他又为你们而制服）他所为你们创造于大地的各色物品，对于能记取教诲的民众，此中确有一种迹象。
