And the Hypocrites also. These were told: "Come, fight in the way of Allah, or (at least) drive (The foe from your city)." They said: "Had we known how to fight, we should certainly have followed you." They were that day nearer to Unbelief than to Faith, saying with their lips what was not in their hearts but Allah hath full knowledge of all they conceal.

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.

也要认识伪信的人。有人对他们说：“你们来吧，来为主道而作战，或来自卫吧！”他们说：“假若我们会打仗，我们必定追随你们。”在那日，与其说他们是信道的人，不如说他们是不信道的人。他们口里所说的，并不是他们心里所想的。真主是知道他们所隐讳者的。

当抵抗不信真主和末日，不遵真主及其使者的戒律，不奉真教的人，即曾受天经的人，你们要与他们战斗，直到他们依照自己的能力，规规矩矩地交纳丁税。

信道的人们啊！你们要讨伐邻近你们的不信道者，使他们感觉到你们的严厉。你们知道，真主是和克己者在一起的。
