(Moses) said: "O Aaron! what kept thee back, when thou sawest them going wrong,

Covetous over you. Then when fear comes, thou wilt see them looking to thee, their eyes revolving, like (those of) one over whom hovers death: but when the fear is past, they will smite you with sharp tongues, covetous of goods. Such men have no faith, and so Allah has made their deeds of none effect: and that is easy for Allah.

When thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of Allah be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)!

And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls.

穆萨说：“哈伦啊！当你看见他们误入迷途的时候，是什么障碍，

他们对你们是吝啬的。当恐怖降临的时候，你见他们望着你，他们的眼睛转动得象昏死的人一样；当恐怖消失的时候，他们却以尖利的口舌痛骂你们，而他们对钱财是吝啬的。这等人，没有信道，故真主揭示他们的行为的虚伪，这对于真主是容易的。

当你看见他们的时候，他们的体格，将使你赞叹。如果他们说话，你就静听他们的言辞，他们好像木偶样，他们以为一切呐喊，都是对他们而发的。他们确是敌人，故你当谨防他们。愿真主诛灭他们！他们是如何悖谬的呢！

许多长生不老的少年，轮流著服侍他们。当你看见那些少年的时候，你以为他们是些散漫的珍珠。
