For the poor,
those who
are wrapped up
in
the way
of Allah,
not
they (are) able
(to) move about
in
the earth.
Think (about) them,
the ignorant one,
(that they are) self-sufficient
(because) of
[the] (their) restraint,
you recognize them
by their mark.
They (do) not ask
the people
with importunity.
And whatever
you spend
of
good,
Then indeed,
Allah
of it
(is) All-Knower.
They think
the confederates
(have) not
withdrawn.
And if
(should) come
the confederates
they would wish
if
that they (were)
living in (the) desert
among
the Bedouins,
asking
about
your news.
And if
they were
among you
not
they would fight
except
a little.
They ask,
`When
(is the) Day
(of) Judgment?`
(Charity is) for those in need, who, in Allah's cause are restricted (from travel), and cannot move about in the land, seeking (For trade or work): the ignorant man thinks, because of their modesty, that they are free from want. Thou shalt know them by their (Unfailing) mark: They beg not importunately from all the sundry. And whatever of good ye give, be assured Allah knoweth it well.
They think that the Confederates have not withdrawn; and if the Confederates should come (again), they would wish they were in the deserts (wandering) among the Bedouins, and seeking news about you (from a safe distance); and if they were in your midst, they would fight but little.
They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?"
（施舍）应归那些贫民，他们献身於主道，不能到远方去谋生；不明他们的真相的人，以为他们是富足的，因为他们不肯向人乞讨。你从他们的仪表可以认识他们，他们不会呶呶不休地向人乞讨。你们所施舍的任何美物，确是真主所知道的。
他们以为同盟军还没有撤退，如果同盟军卷土重来，他们将希望自己在沙漠中的游牧的阿拉伯人中间，并从那里探听你们的消息，假若他们与你们相处，他们只偶尔参加战斗。
