When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe."

(David) said: "He has undoubtedly wronged thee in demanding thy (single) ewe to be added to his (flock of) ewes: truly many are the partners (in business) who wrong each other: Not so do those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and how few are they?"...and David gathered that We had tried him: he asked forgiveness of his Lord, fell down, bowing (in prostration), and turned (to Allah in repentance).

当穆萨为了我的会期而来，而且他的主对他说了话的时候，他说：“我的主啊！求你昭示我，以便我看见你。”主说：“你不能看见我，但你看那座山吧。如果它能在它的本位上坚定，那末，你就能看见我。”当他的主对那座山微露光华的时候，他使那座山变成粉碎的。穆萨晕倒在地上。当他苏醒的时候，他说：“我赞颂你超绝万物，我向你悔罪，我是首先信道的。”

达五德说：“他确已欺负你了，因为他要求你把你的母绵羊归并他的母绵羊。有许多伙计，的确相欺，惟信道而行善者则不然，但他们是很少的。”达五德以为我考验他，他就向他的主求饶，且拜倒下去，并归依他。（此处叩头！）※
