O ye who believe! Allah doth but make a trial of you in a little matter of game well within reach of game well within reach of your hands and your lances, that He may test who feareth him unseen: any who transgress thereafter, will have a grievous penalty.

"This (say I), in order that He may know that I have never been false to him in his absence, and that Allah will never guide the snare of the false ones.

"That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing."

信道的人们啊!真主必以你们的手和枪所能猎取的若干飞禽走兽考验你们，以便真主知道谁在背地里畏惧他。此后，谁超越法度，谁将受痛苦的刑罚。

“这是因为要他知道，在背地里我并没有不忠于他的行为，并且要他知道，真主不诱导不忠者的诡计。”

以便他知道使者确已传达了他们的主的使命，并且周知他们所有的言行，而且统计万物的数目。”
