We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent them messengers, every time, there came to them a messenger with what they themselves desired not - some (of these) they called impostors, and some they (go so far as to) slay.

See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them).

And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores.

我与以色列的后裔确已订约，并派遣许多使者去教化他们，每逢使者带来他们不喜爱的东西的时候，他们就否认一部分，杀害一部分。

难道他们不知道吗？在他们之前，我曾毁灭了许多世代，并且把没有赏赐你们的地位赏赐了他们，给他们以充足的雨水，使诸河流行在他们的下面。嗣后，我因他们的罪过而毁灭他们。在他们（灭亡）之后，我创造了别的世代。

我派遣滋润的风，我就从云中降下雨水，以供给你们饮料，你们绝不是雨水的蓄藏者。
