And remember Abraham said: "My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its people with fruits,-such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day." He said: "(Yea), and such as reject Faith,-for a while will I grant them their pleasure, but will soon drive them to the torment of Fire,- an evil destination (indeed)!"

He used to enjoin on his people Prayer and Charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord.

So We listened to him: We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his people to him, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who serve Us.

当时，易卜拉欣说：“我的主啊！求你使这里变成安宁的地方，求你以各种粮食供给这里的居民──他们中信真主和末日的人。”他说：“不信道者，我将使他暂时享受，然後强逼他去受火刑。那结果真恶劣！”

他以拜功和天课命令他的家属，他在他的主那里是可喜的。

我就答应他的请求，而解除他所患的痼疾，并以他的家属和同样的人赏赐他，这是由于从我发出的恩惠和对于崇拜我者的记念。

我曾以他的眷属，和象他们的，同齐赏赐他。那是由我降下的慈恩，也是由于教诲有理智的人们。
