Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-

If they had intended to come out, they would certainly have made some preparation therefor; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth; so He made them lag behind, and they were told, "Sit ye among those who sit (inactive)."

When a Sura comes down, enjoining them to believe in Allah and to strive and fight along with His Messenger, those with wealth and influence among them ask thee for exemption, and say: "Leave us (behind): we would be with those who sit (at home)."

没有残疾而安坐家中的信士，与凭自己的财产和生命为主道而奋斗的信士，彼此是不相等的。凭自己的财产和生命而奋斗的人，真主使他们超过安坐家中的人一级。真主应许这两等人要受最优厚的报酬，除安坐者所受的报酬外，真主加赐奋斗的人一种重大的报酬。

假若他们有心出征，必定早已准备就绪了。但真主不愿他们出征，故阻止他们。有人曾对他们说：“你们与老弱妇孺们呆在家里吧！”

如果降示一章经说：“你们要信仰真主，要同使者一道奋斗”，他们中的富裕者就要向你请假，他们说：“你让我们与安坐家中的人在一起吧！”
