That He might justify Truth and prove Falsehood false, distasteful though it be to those in guilt.

Fain would they extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

It is He Who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).

If they had intended to come out, they would certainly have made some preparation therefor; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth; so He made them lag behind, and they were told, "Sit ye among those who sit (inactive)."

"And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!"

Call ye, then, upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even though the Unbelievers may detest it.

Their intention is to extinguish Allah's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

他们妄想用自己的口吹灭真主的光明，但真主只愿发扬自己的光明，即使不信道者不愿意。

他曾以正道和真教的使命委托他的使者，以便他使真教胜过一切宗教，即使以物配主者不愿意。

假若他们有心出征，必定早已准备就绪了。但真主不愿他们出征，故阻止他们。有人曾对他们说：“你们与老弱妇孺们呆在家里吧！”

真主将以他的言语证实真理，即使犯罪的人不愿意。

你们当祈祷真主，诚心顺服他，即使不信道者不愿意。

他们想吹灭真主的光明，但真主要完成他的光明，即使不信道的人不愿意。

他曾以正道和真教的使命委托他的使者，以便他使真教胜过一切宗教，即使以物配主的人不愿意。
