(Joseph) said: "For seven years shall ye diligently sow as is your wont: and the harvests that ye reap, ye shall leave them in the ear,- except a little, of which ye shall eat.

"Something like the fate of the People of Noah, the 'Ad, and the Thamud, and those who came after them: but Allah never wishes injustice to his Servants.

And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also) made subject to you.

(Their plight will be) no better than that of the people of Pharaoh, and their predecessors: They denied our Signs, and Allah called them to account for their sins. For Allah is strict in punishment.

"(Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them: They rejected the Signs of Allah, and Allah punished them for their crimes: for Allah is Strong, and Strict in punishment:

(Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and those before them": They treated as false the Signs of their Lord: so We destroyed them for their crimes, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh: for they were all oppressors and wrong-doers.

他说：“你们要连种七年，凡你们所收获的麦子，都让它存在穗子上，只把你们所吃的少量的麦子打下来。

如努哈的宗族、阿德人、赛莫德人、以及在他们之后的人所遭受的灾祸一样。真主是不欲亏枉众仆的。

他为你们制服日月，使其经常运行，他为你们制服昼夜。

（他们的情状），犹如法老的百姓和他们以前的各民族的情状一样；他们否认真主的迹象，故真主因他们的罪恶而惩治他们。真主的刑罚是严厉的。

（他们的常态）犹如法老的百姓和以前的民族的常态一样，他们不信真主的迹象，故真主因他们的罪行而惩治他们。真主确是全能的，他的刑罚确是严厉的。

（他们的常态）犹如法老的百姓和以前的民族的常态一样，他们否认自己的主的迹象。故我因他们的罪恶而毁灭他们，把法老的百姓淹死在海里，他们原是不义者。
