(Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."

She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

"O my father! to me hath come knowledge which hath not reached thee: so follow me: I will guide thee to a way that is even and straight.

Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way?

他说：“我的主啊！求你为我预定一种迹象。”他说：“你的迹象是你无疾无病，但三日三夜你不能和人说话。”

她用一个帷幕遮蔽著，不让人们看见她。我使我的精神到她面前，他就对她显现成一个身材匀称的人。

我的父亲啊！没有降临你的知识，确已降临我了；你顺从我吧，我要指示你一条正路。

究竟谁更能获得引导呢？是匍匐而行的人呢？还是在正路上挺身而行的人呢？
