So said
the chiefs
(of) those who
disbelieverd
from
his people,
`Not
we see you
like us,
and not
we see you
followed [you]
except
those who
[they]
(are) the lowest of us
immature in opinion.
And not
we see
in you
over us
any
merit;
nay,
we think you
(are) liars.`
They siad,
`Then what
(will be the) recompense (of) it
you are
That He will make clear
to them
they differ
wherein,
and that may know
those who
disbelieved
that they
But the chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "We see (in) thee nothing but a man like ourselves: Nor do we see that any follow thee but the meanest among us, in judgment immature: Nor do we see in you (all) any merit above us: in fact we thing ye are liars!"
(The Egyptians) said: "What then shall be the penalty of this, if ye are (proved) to have lied?"
(They must be raised up), in order that He may manifest to them the truth of that wherein they differ, and that the rejecters of Truth may realise that they had indeed (surrendered to) Falsehood.
但他的宗族中不信道的贵族说:“我们认为你只是像我们一样的一个凡人,我们认为只有我们中那些最卑贱的人们才轻率地顺从你,我们认为你们不比我们优越。我们甚至相信你们是说谎的。”
他们说:“偷窃者应受什么处分呢?如果你们是说谎的人。”
(他将使他们复活),以便他为他们阐明他们所争论的是非,并且让不信道者知道自己原是说谎的。
