But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction.

Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.

指你的主发誓，他们不信道，直到他们请你判决他们之间的纷争，而他们的心里对于你的判决毫无芥蒂，并且他们完全顺服。

真主欲使谁遵循正道，就使谁的心胸为伊斯兰而敞开；真主欲使谁误入迷途，就使谁的心胸狭隘，（要他信道），难如登天。真主这样以刑罚加于不信道的人。
