And said,
`Is (it) a human being
among us
one,
(that) we should follow him?
Indeed, we
then
(will be) surely in
error
and madness.
And that
among us
(are) the righteous
and among us
(are) other than that.
We
(are on) ways
different.
And that we,
among us
(are) Muslims
and among us
are) unjust.
And whoever
submits,
then those
have sought
(the) right path.
For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad!
'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths.
'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct:
故他们说：“我们同族的一个凡人，我们能顺从他吗？如果那样，我们必定陷于迷误和疯狂之中。
我们中有善良的，有次於善良的，我们是分为许多派别的。
我们中有顺服的，有乖张的。凡顺服的，都是有志於正道的。
