And when
it was said
indeed
(the) Promise
(of) Allah
(is) true
and the Hour -
(there is) no
doubt
about it,
you said,
`Not
we know
what
the Hour (is).
Not
we think
except
an assumption,
and not
we
(are) convinced.``
And that we -
not
we know
whether evil
is intended
for (those) who
(are) in
the earth
or
intends
for them
their Lord
a right path.
"And when it was said that the promise of Allah was true, and that the Hour- there was no doubt about its (coming), ye used to say, 'We know not what is the hour: we only think it is an idea, and we have no firm assurance.'"
'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct.
有人说：“真主的应许，确是真实的；复活时是毫无疑义的。”你们就说：“我们不知道复活时是什么，我们只猜想那或许是要发生的，但我们并不确信。”
我们不知道，究竟是大地上的万物将遭患难呢？还是他们的主欲引他们於正道呢？
