They said,
`Confused
dreams,
and not
we
(are) in the interpretation
(of) the dreams
learned.
Nay,
they say,
`Muddled
dreams;
nay,
he (has) invented it;
nay,
he
(is) a poet.
So let him bring us
a sign
like what
was sent
(to) the former.`
'And take
in your hand
a bunch
and strike
with it
and (do) not
break (your) oath.'
Indeed, We
[We] found him
patient,
and excellent
slave.
Indeed, he
repeatedly turned.
They said: "A confused medley of dreams: and we are not skilled in the interpretation of dreams."
"Nay," they say, "(these are) medleys of dream! - Nay, He forged it! - Nay, He is (but) a poet! Let him then bring us a Sign like the ones that were sent to (Prophets) of old!"
"And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)!
他们说：“这是一个噩梦，而且我们不会圆梦。”
但他们说：“这是痴人说梦呢？还是他捏造谎言呢？还是他是一个诗人呢？ 教他象古代的众使者那样昭示我们一种迹象吧。”
“你当亲手拿一把草，用它去打击一下。你不要违背誓约。”我确已发现他是坚忍的。那仆人真优美！他确是归依真主的。
