And if ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass.

Say: "In the bounty of Allah. And in His Mercy,- in that let them rejoice": that is better than the (wealth) they hoard.

Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of thy Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in the life of this world: and We raise some of them above others in ranks, so that some may command work from others. But the Mercy of thy Lord is better than the (wealth) which they amass.

如果你们为主道而阵亡，或病故，那么，从真主发出的赦宥和慈恩，必定比他们所聚集的（财产）还要宝贵些。

你说：“这是由于真主的恩惠和慈恩，叫他们因此而高兴吧！这比他们所聚积的还要好。”

难道他们能分配你的主的恩惠吗？我将他们在今世生活中的生计分配给他们，我使他们彼此相差若干级，以便他们层层节制。你的主的恩惠比他们所积蓄的更优美。
