(Allah) said,
`Then go down
from it,
for not
it is
for you
that
you be arrogant
in it.
So get out;
indeed, you
(are) of
the disgraced ones.`
She said,
`That
(is) the one,
you blamed me
about him.
And certainly
I sought to seduce him,
[from]
[himself]
but he saved himself,
and if
not
he does
what
I order him,
surely, he will be imprisioned
and certainly will be
of
those who are disgraced.`
(Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)."
She said: "There before you is the man about whom ye did blame me! I did seek to seduce him from his (true) self but he did firmly save himself guiltless!....and now, if he doth not my bidding, he shall certainly be cast into prison, and (what is more) be of the company of the vilest!"
主说：“你从这里下去吧！你不该在这里自大。你出去吧！你确是卑贱的！”
她说：“这就是你们为他而责备我的那个人。我确已勾引他，但他洁身自好。如果他再不听从我的命令，他势必要坐牢，他势必成为自甘下贱的人。”
