Then they hamstrung
the she-camel
and (were) insolent
towards (the) command
(of) their Lord
and they said,
`O Salih!
Bring us
what
you promise us
if
you are
of
the Messengers.`
Then they ham-strung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their Lord, saying: "O Salih! bring about thy threats, if thou art a messenger (of Allah)!"
他们宰了那只母驼，违抗他们主的命令，他们并说：“撒立哈啊！你把你用来警告我们的刑罚拿来给我们看看吧，如果你是使者的话！”
