And they say,

'Are we

to leave

our gods

for a poet

mad?'

Therefore remind,

for not

you

(are) by (the) grace

(of) your Lord

a soothsayer,

and not

a madman.

And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?"

Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed.

并且说：“难道我们务必要为一个狂妄的诗人，而抛弃我们的众神灵吗？”

你应当教诲众人，因为借你的主的恩典，你不是一个占卜者，也不是一个疯人。
