And they swore
by Allah
(the) strongest
(of) their oaths
that if
came to them
a warner,
surely, they would be
more guided
than
any
(of) the nations.
But when
came to them
a warner,
not
it increase them
but
(in) aversion.
They swore their strongest oaths by Allah that if a warner came to them, they would follow his guidance better than any (other) of the Peoples: But when a warner came to them, it has only increased their flight (from righteousness),-
他们指真主而发出的最严重的誓言说：“如果有一个警告者来临我们，那末，我们遵循正道必甚过任何一个民族。”当警告者来临他们的时候，他们却更加悖谬，
