He said,
`My Lord!
Indeed, [I]
(have) weakened
and flared
(my) head
(with) white,
and not
I have been
in (my) supplication (to) You
my Lord
unblessed.
And dutiful
to my mother,
and not
He (has) made me
insolent,
unblessed.
And I will leave you
and what
you invoke
besides
and I invoke
my Lord.
May be
that not
I will be
in invocation
(to) my Lord
unblessed.`
Praying: "O my Lord! infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee!
"(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
"And I will turn away from you (all) and from those whom ye invoke besides Allah: I will call on my Lord: perhaps, by my prayer to my Lord, I shall be not unblest."
“我的主啊!我的骨骼已软弱了,我已白发苍苍了,我的主啊!我没有为祈祷你而失望。
(他使我)孝敬我的母亲,他没有使我做霸道的、薄命的人。
我将退避你们,以及你们舍真主而祈祷的。我将祈祷我的主,我或许不为祈祷我的主而变为薄命的人。”
